Certainly my bloggy friend Bryan @ 365inaustin.blogspot.com didn’t send me beer via UPS. Why, that would have been against UPS regulations. Must be some sort of wacky coincidence that I had some Shiner 99th Anniversary Helles Larger (among other varieties) to enjoy on my day 99. Must be. Oh, yeah and some Sol and Twang beer salt magically arrived at my house too.
My sister (the Ordinary Hero) sent my brothers and me an email yesterday highlighting the Washington Nationals Presidents Race. What an awesome ballpark entertainment nugget!
Picture this, giant headed versions of the Rushmore presidents (Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, & T. Roosevelt) racing from centerfield across the warning track to right field and down the right field line to the dugout in the middle of the fourth inning at each Nationals home game.
Better yet, don’t picture it. Watch a video…
The thing is it seems Teddy is yet to win a race. There is even a site dedicated to Teddy’s plight called LetTeddyWin.com. While we all like an underdog “Let” Teddy win seems a bit off. Did anyone “Let” the Red Sox win in 2004, has anyone “Let’ the Cubs win? Teddy, you can do it man! Don’t let anyone “Let” you!
Seriouslly though, check out the site, there are a bunch more videos there, some stats and general info. It’s solid stuff. I have no reason to plug it, but it’s a load of fun.
Milwaukee may have started the oversized head race craze (at least here in the States) and Pittsburgh may have racing pierogi, but I stand firmly behind our forefathers.
Well we are nearly four months in and while I enjoy putting the videos together usually this week was a chore. I didn’t want to do it really, I hope it doesn’t show through too much.
This week I launch the Buff Dad push. Sue Doe Nim was kind enough to send me a copy of Buff Dad a Four Week Fitness Game Plan For Real Guys written by Mike Levinson. I will do my best to make a solid effort to stick to the program for the next four weeks to see if it can help me finally reach my goal and also maybe change some of the pounds I want to keep from fat to muscle.
Exercise has really been my weak link in my journey so now with a set program perhaps I can really knock it out of the park.
So stay tuned to see how it all turns out!
Don’t forget to check out Scott & Jim, my W8 Loss Wednesday compatriots.
The high chair is just behind her, barely visible. She got a big bang out of sitting up on the stool at the kitchen island. The high chair isn’t ready to be retired, but perhaps we’ll keep the booster on the stool and let her join her brothers and sister at the island at meal time on a regular basis.
The birthday party crew just before piling into cars to see Forbidden Kingdom hoists the ‘birthday’ boy off his feet. Oh, and speaking of his feet… they must REALLY STINK!
