Project 365 // Day 249
Was up in the attic Tuesday looking for the rest of the Halloween decorations. Didn’t see them. I did find a Rock and Roll Elmo doll that had been up there for years. Brought him back into the fold. We have a big Elmo fan in the house.

The best was going to Toy’s R Us and hitting all 50 “tickle me” Elmo’s as fast as you can then set back and watch them all giggle and set off the tick “tickle me” Elmo’s further back on the shelf.
Poor kids that Christmas, all there “tickle me” Elmo’s must have had half dead batteries.

Oh, we still have daughter’s TME when they first came out. (I was lucky to find one that Christmas). I even returned him to the box when she outgrew him… He’ll be a nice treasure when she gets older.

I think we can all agree that November 18, 1985 - with the introduction of Elmo as a major character AND the vindication of Big Bird with the revelation that Mr. Snuffleupagus was not imaginary - was the day Sesame Street officially jumped the shark.
