Kids go back to school tomorrow. This is a good thing, regardless of what they say, this is a good thing. I love my kids - even when they are causing my hair to fall out never to return, I really do. We all had fun this past week, we went to the library - and it was agreed that we would make it a point to go back at least once a month. We played board games. I had help shoveling snow and we brewed some beer. I don’t think that anyone regrets having a week at home.
All that aside though, it will be nice to have the few hours of empty house (aside from what should be a napping baby). I don’t fancy myself any sort of domestic super man, but picking up the house will be easier when there are a flock of kids around making a mess quicker than I can keep up with them.
Oh and February vacation isn’t a great idea here in the Northeast. Order me up a week of solid 40+ degree sunny days with no precipitation and then it might be alright. But once it’s cold/rainy/snowy enough everyone is cooped up inside a day or two and everyone starts to get on everyone else’s’ nerves. April vacation will be (or at least should be) much more enjoyable.

Schools only had three days off here. A week in February does seem like a lot. With all the snow days, they’re still going until the last week of June though.
