Fitter @ 40

You may see some of my posts are categorized as Fitter @ 40. Let me assure you, I am not 40 (not that there’s anything wrong with 40, or even north of 40). Fitter @ 40 is my five year ‘plan’. When I had my 35th birthday in 2007 I was as heavy as I had ever been and wasn’t real happy about it.

Rather than make some crazy pledge that had no shot of succeeding, I simply decided that I would be in better shape at 40 than I was at 35. I have started changing some habits and slowly over time I will see changes that I am sure will lead to a big payoff when June 2012 rolls around.

So there you have it.

Good for you - I *am* turning forty later this year, and am on the same kind of journey - just with a time span of a few months instead of five years!

I’ve been a runner for several years now, so my week has been three runs of 6km each; two karate classes and two sessions in our home gym. At the moment, I’m fit but fat(ish). Being a chocolate reviewer means that I’ll never live to hear anyone say, “Oh eat some more, you’re wasting away,” but I won’t feature on the news for having to be crane lifted out of my house either.

Good luck! Found you via Tom’s hideaway as we are fellow trivia contestants
