Gotta love long weekends!
As dedicated readers will note, I have Good Friday off from work. My wife taken the day too. We are all set for a date night (Yes, I know it’s Good Friday, but we don’t get enough chances what with the whole opposite work schedules).
So… anyway, she came home at the end of last week and was talking about her work group taking a co-worker out for dinner and drinks for a birthday celebration next (now this) Thursday. Child care was going to have to be arranged if she wanted to go. Seemed like she should go, always good to get out a bit. So we would try to get it to work, without over working our families….
Later in the weekend, she floated the idea that perhaps maybe I might take Thursday off, be home and then we wouldn’t need to figure out childcare.
She’s smart! I like four day weekends!! So when I head off to work Wednesday afternoon, I can smile knowing that it’s “Friday”.
So, Happy “Friday”!

TGIW!! I’m with you, PG. Five days for me.
Thursday is Youw An Nabi (Muslim), then Good Friday (Christian), Saturday is Pagwah (Hindi), then Easter Sunday and Easter Monday (Christian). These are all Guyanese National Holidays - no church(es)/state separation here, I guess.

4 day weekend- you bastid! enjoy the date night. we’ll expect a full report on the restaurant and all that sort of thing. I’ve got a sitter lined up for Saturday night… so we’re looking forward to that.

Happy Friday! It’s Friday for me too, but for a different reason. NCAA starts in earnest tomorrow. I will be camped out on the sofa all weekend (out-laws will be here, but they can deal with it).

Glad to know you took advantage of the Lenten Loophole and decided to go out on Good Friday anyway. We will be celebrating my Grant’s birthday (again) on Good Friday.
