As you know, I am about a month and a half into my Project 365.
And I have been meaning to go take some pics of a local cranberry bog. Every time I drive by I think, ‘Oooooh, I’ve got to remember to shoot this someday’.
Well, today I put my elder daughter on the bus to kindergarten and load the baby into the car and head off to shoot. It’s about a 10 or 12 minute drive.
I get there and… bonus… the sprinklers are on and there are guys out working in the bog. Even better!
I turn my camera on and shoot a pic just to check lighting and such…. and my battery dies. I didn’t have the camera bag, I just grabbed the camera when I left the house.
D’OH!
I’ll be back someday!

We took our camera to an event recently and I forgot to put the memory stick back in it. That was a big “D’OH!”

jason - I would have been happier about that! I could have gotten in more than one shot with the internal memory. But I could see where it would be a major problem otherwise!
xbox - yeah, this is cranberry country. Growing season just getting started, I will definitely be back closer to harvest when the bogs are even more colorful.

I always feel a little awkward when I realize the cranberry juice I drink comes from berries that float around in bogs. That’s kind of strange to me. It’s neat seeing how they do it, though. Looking forward to more pictures.

the best laid plans…
i was shooting a DITL (day in the life) a couple of weeks ago. 5 shots after leaving the house the battery died. had a fresh one sitting on the bar at home. boo.

After our last visit to you and my battery died while we were looking at that monstrous Plymouth Rock and I had to buy a pos box camera, I vowed my next camera would take a standard battery. Now I have 2 sets of rechargeable AA’s, but when I take a set right of the charger (after being on it for a couple days) they only last for a couple shots. Its starting to really be a pita. I guess I need to find out how long rechargeables last.
