I Was Supposed to Blog about…

…an act of kindness that I undertook as part of “Bloggers Unite“, a way to show that blogging can ‘count’.

Turns out that I was blown away by an act of kindness done TO ME this weekend.

We had a nasty nor’easter come though Saturday night into Sunday. I was just about to go out to shovel a nasty mix of snow/sleet/rain when I looked outside to see just how bad it was.

My driveway was clear!

My next door neighbor cleared my drive without me out there giving him sad puppy looks.

Craig, you are aces! You really are just about the best neighbor somebody could ask for!

Needless to say, the beer fairy visited Craig later that day!

Sounds familiar.

I still remember that cold morning in early ‘88, struggling to change a flat tire on the street outside of Pat’s house… as Pat watched from the window, waiting for the job to be finished before ambling out and folding himself into the car for the ride to school…

Well us New Englanders can be pretty nice people…most o’the time.
And to top i off…the beer fairy! There is a Santa!

That is wonderful all kidding aside. As me and the hubby spent a good portion of Sunday digging out(funny, I kinda remember we had five kiddies running about somewhere IN the house!)

This restores my faith somewhat in people. When I was growing up, good neighbors were all around me. Nowadays, hmmm… not so much. Does the beer fairy visit good dads?
