Ok, I have to admit it. I have a man-crush on Eric Rochow. “Who?”, you ask? Why, Eric Rochow of course.
Eric is a video producer in the 3-D world, and the creator and star of two web shows, gardenfork and Real World Green.
Gardenfork is “a weekly show about gardening, cooking and other stuff”. I am not a gardener, but I enjoy watching the gardening shows as much as anything else. The cooking segments are always good for a grin and the dude has more handiness in his pinkie finger then I do in my whole PG-ness.
Real World Green is “a weekly show about practical things you can do to reduce your impact on the earth.” I will embed one of the episodes at the bottom of this post. Simple things you can do to make a difference. No major lifestyle changes needed, you don’t have to become Ed Begley Jr.
As you may have noticed I have recently done a few video segments, as I watch Eric’s offerings I think, “that is what I am aiming for” He doesn’t take himself too seriously (or seriously at all!). Entertains and informs effortlessly. He is just excited to share with ‘us’ and it comes through.
I guess “Web 2.0″ is a bit of an overused term, but this is what it’s all about. Create content, if it is good, people will find it and enjoy it.
So go check out what Eric is offering, I think you will enjoy it. I know I do.

I enjoy your video segments and you have actually inspired me to do some of my own, however I really am extremely self critical and I will only release something that is extremely tight. I also hate my left profile…and my right one. Peace!

hey chuck, thanks for the kind words. and you should all go out and make videos, AND don’t worry too much about how the first ones come out. They will be bad, but they will get better.
the important thing is to stop thinking about it and start doing it.
