My Aussie friend Matty at the Make Way for Ducklings statues in Boston’s Public Garden.

Matty has been traveling the globe and his travels brought him to Boston this week.  I brought the kids into the city to meet up with him.  I had never met Matty before as we have only traded messages on a Bruce Springsteen message board.  With a little luck I’ll get to have a similar experience at the end of the month too.  Stay tuned.

My 10 year old composed a better photo than I did.  In my defense I was constantly doing the, “1,2,3,4… OK” count of the kids all day.  So I wasn’t able to fully concentrate on taking the photo.

    Hey Pat. Nice pics on the Common. I heard yesterday that a new sky scraper is being erected, on Federal Street, that will cast a shadow on the Common. I guess it will be the tallest in the city, and reshape the skyline.

    Haven’t been to the Public Gardens in some time, good to see all the Ducks are there, I know one went missing a long time ago.
