I posted on Facebook earlier tonight that it might be a lightbox night since I hadn’t taken any photos during the day. Bryan concurred and then suggested that fall foliage might be a good lightbox subject. Another 365′er we knock around with had posted her leaf photo back when Autumn was just revving up. I commented on her site at the time that some night that I was without a shot I was sure to be out in the back yard with a flashlight looking for a leave to shoot. Sure enough this was that night.

Several years ago, I got leaves out of my yard, scanned them, printed them out on iron-on paper, ironed them onto white squares, and made a beautiful quilt for my daughter with the squares. Your photo would make a nice quilt, if someone wanted to do it.

Okay, I’m weighing in. I’ve been visiting here frequently and think the photos are fantastic. I’m slightly biased too, because I know you’re local. I’m no expert photo critic, so maybe I’m out of bounds on this. I think you could have picked a better leaf! I got to go w/ the basil. Sorry.
I like the colors against the white…really makes them standout.
