Red Sox Opening Day

March 25th, 2008 · 6 Comments · General Boring Stuff

Playing in Japan, so the game started at 6:05am Boston time. I get up, flip on the TV and I get “Searching for satellite signal”. WTF! Most channels working fine, but NESN is DOA.

GRRRRR!!!!

It’s not just me….

Geez.. I thought I was the only one not getting a signal! What a help Direct TV was when I called after doing all of the simple stuff, resetting, disconnecting, unplugging.. etc.. etc.. still no Red Sox Game! They were oh so helpful! NOT!!!
    Thank God for computers !

How strange that you couldn’t watch in Boston but I could in Guyana. MLB.TV is a miracle IMHO. Be thankful you were spared watching that excruciating performance by Dice-K! I had to leave for work at 8 so I am now stuck with just the occassional glance at Yahoo for the score (it’s not looking good)

You should be happy you missed the early innings. My alarm sounded at 5:55 as planned, ESPNII working as expected.

Just in time to have Dice-K remind me how CRAZY he drove me in 2007. Throw a strike!

Oh, the other thing you missed was Gary Thorne’s special Tokyo Dome “Sayonara!” homerun call in the first inning.

Bet he’d been waiting to use that for weeks.
