Daily Shoot’s theme for Friday was Electronic Gadgets. Not happy with this, but I didn’t shoot anything else.

I received this lens for Christmas. It immediately became my favorite and default lens. I highly recommend it. Great value.

Here’s my crazy idea. Cease production of one dollar bills. Replace with dollar coins. Ramp up production of two dollar bills at the same time.

OK, so I just made that up seeing that I had nothing else to post and I saw both a two dollar bill and a dollar coin laying around so I threw them into the light box.

Still I am a fan of the dollar coin.

Big Bird takes a time out from the festivities to pose for a photo.

It’s funny, I knew I was going to do something Sesame Street related today. What I did not know is that when I went rummaging through the toys I would find one with a camera? How fitting.

Happy Birthday Sesame Street.

Retired world traveler had a bit of a run in with a two (nearly three) year old.

He’s been patched up and he’ll be alright but should really take it easy and not try to mix it up with the wee ones.

Plenty more where this one came from too!

I posted on Facebook earlier tonight that it might be a lightbox night since I hadn’t taken any photos during the day. Bryan concurred and then suggested that fall foliage might be a good lightbox subject. Another 365′er we knock around with had posted her leaf photo back when Autumn was just revving up. I commented on her site at the time that some night that I was without a shot I was sure to be out in the back yard with a flashlight looking for a leave to shoot. Sure enough this was that night.

Project 365 // Day 243 v2.0

243/365 v2.0 (by Pat Glennon)

There is a crew at work that orders out every Friday. This week it was Chinese food. At the end of the night one of my co-workers said she got my fortune.

When I first started taking and posting a photo each day back in 2008 I bristled at even calling myself a ‘photographer’. To me the term inferred a level of skill and experience I did not possess. Over the last 20 months I have come to learn that I have become a photographer.

Now, with my exhibit set to open at my town’s library, the term ‘artist’ is being bandied about. It’s not one that I am comfortable with. Not yet at least. Perhaps 20 months from now I will grow into the label. Perhaps not. All I know is that I am having a great time and have really enjoyed the journey.

Being the dope I am, I left my camera bag – sans camera – at C.N. Smith Farm yesterday when we went apple picking.

By the grace of God, a decent individual found the bag and turned it in.

The bag itself is 12 years old. The lens above I bought used for $50.00. There was a change of Regan’s clothes in one of the pockets. My keys were in another. All in all it wouldn’t have been a catastrophic loss, but it was still a great relief when I was reunited with my bag.

You’d think that to celebrate I’d have cleaned the lens.
