I Am 0.0001059333% of What Makes Flickr Rock

Yesterday the 3 Billionth photo was posted to Flickr. It’s a great shot of a door on an abandoned building in New Orleans taken by one Mr. Garrett Ryan Smith. Well done Garrett!

I love Flickr and am happy to celebrate this event on my blog.

For what it’s worth, I missed being Mr. Three Billion as my photos that fell on either side of the milestone were 2,998,424,366 and 3,001,181,673.

Still having submitted 3,178 photos of the 3,000,000,000 makes me 0.0001059333 parts cool.

  1. I’m a big fan of Flickr as well. Wish I could spend more time with it these days, but the hours go so fast.

I’ve learned more about photography just from looking at Flickr pictures than from any book.
