Playing All The Hits From The 80’s, 90’s And Today! (27/365 v2.0)

Project 365 // Day 27 v2.0

27/365 v2.0

Yeah, I know FM stations have odd number decimals. Work with me here though.

I was as sick as the proverbial dog Saturday.

Woke up feeling pretty poor but basketball duty beckoned.
Took my daughter to her 1st & 2nd grade session and when I got back home I thought that I would bail out on at least reffing the 1:30 4th grade league game.

Worse things have happened than me not reffing a game.

Next up, I took my son to his 3rd grade session and when I got back home I decided a meal and a hot shower might be all it takes to get back on the ball.

I ate and showered and felt a bit better so I didn’t bail on reffing yet.

Took my son to his 4th grade league game (he’s in third, but there are about a dozen 3rd graders in the 4th grade league). I help coach his team and they have been snake bitten all year. No luck at all and a 0-9 (or something equally miserable) to show for it.

But this week….THEY WON!

It was an exciting game and the adrenaline got me feeling pretty good so I decided I would ref the game after all. In our league the coaches for the other teams ref the game. FWIW- I had never reffed before this year. It’s HARD.

By the 3rd quarter of the game I reffed I knew I should have bailed. I felt terrible and I am sure I didn’t have my”A game”.

I made it through though, but I didn’t go to my oldest’s 5th and 6th grade game.

Sorry bud.

I then spent the rest of the day either in bed or on the love seat in various states of consciousness or unconsciousness as the case may be.

Never picked up the camera until I was going up to bed for the last time. This is all you get. I had to crop the hell out of it as it was really a poorly composed photo!

  1. Oh, sorry to hear this PG! That sucks, especially when others are counting on you. Wow, you have a full schedule! Take it easy, relax and yeah, life will go on while you recuperate on the couch. Feel better.
