Halloween Weekend Catch-Up (271, 272 & 273/365 v2.0)

Donated a couple of photos to the High School Band fund raising cable TV auction. It’s covered by the backing of the frame, but maybe if the winner of the auction takes it out of the frame they will see that I signed the back of the print thanking them. I hope the pair of prints fetch a mint. Both for my ego, and for the band’s benefit!

Halloween. Zebra roaming the plains in search of candy. More Halloween photos on my Flickr stream.

Had a table at an arts and craft fair on Sunday. I sold five prints. It was my first time out in any sort of setting like that. I learned a few things and will be back at it on November 21.

  1. I should have put a price tag on each particular print rather than have a price list posted.

The frames are nice, but don’t count on them to sell. People can buy a frame at Wal-Mart.

I’d have done better had the arts/crafts fair been heavier on the art rather than the craft side.

have more on the table than less. It gives people something to flip through. When I first set up the table I went with just my a-list stuff, as the day went on I loaded up with more.

What I think is rubbish, other people may actually like. I had a couple of prints that I really wasn’t happy with (liked them on the computer, in a print not so much. One of them sold. Granted it was to my Aunt and she may have been being merciful, but probably not.
