Roasted Tomatoes (345/365 v2.0)

Project 365 // Day 345 v2.0

345/365 v2.0 (by Pat Glennon)

Had a few tomatoes that were sitting on the window sill that were looking rather tired. They needed to be used or thrown out. I decided that roasting them up would be a good way to not waste them.

Made a slurry of olive oil, minced garlic and some herbs and spices including oregano and herbs de Provence and threw it on top of the halved tomatoes. Roasted them, let them cool, peeled them and then gave them a coarse chop.

Yummy.

  1. Hey Kris,

Keep shooting, even if it’s nothing special, even if you don’t like the shot keep shooting. Post a few days worth at a time if you have to (I posted Tuesday and Wednesday this morning).

I use a Nikon D80 and almost always shoot in full manual mode.

The tomatoes were shot with my 50mm lens a f1.8 (got the lens for chirstmas and LOVE LOVE LOVE it). Shutter 1/100th of a second. ISO is the one thing let the camera handle. Auto ISO had that shot at 320.

    Cheers,
