Father’s Day is right around the corner and if the Dads you are buying for are anything like me you probably have no idea what to get them. We can be pains that way.? On behalf of all of us, sorry.
If you do find yourself in this lurch you should definitely click on over to RedEnvelope.com and check out the Father’s Day ideas you’ll find there.
I had heard of RedEnvelope.com before but had never ordered so when I was asked by them to check out a product from the Father’s Day ideas I jumped at the chance.
Not surprisingly I went with a photo themed item and chose the “All Terrain Tripod” or gorillapod by Joby. Since I am shooting with a DSLR, I chose the large size.
The delivery came just as expected packaged in a really sharp red gift box accented by white ribbon just like you see in their logo.
The gorillapod is a flexible legged mini tripod with sturdy legs that will grip almost anything—trees, chairs, railings… you name it. It won’t replace a traditional tripod, but it’s a great addition to my gear.
I have only had my gorillapod for a few days, but I can tell already it will become a valuable addition to my camera bag. Oh, that is one of the best things about it… It will fit in my camera bag.
believe it or not I don’t have any shots of the gorillapod that I took as I have been busy with the camera on it (not pointed at it). but check out the product page and you will see some shots of it in action. You’ll see both the large I chose (for use with bigger SLR cameras) and the small, perfect for point and shoot cameras.
I had a positive experience dealing with RedEnvelope.com’s site and people and would recommend them to anybody who is looking for a great gift idea. Ideal for Father’s Day or any other occasion, keep them in mind. The pricing is more than fair and the ordering and delivery experience is top notch.
